Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Senior Project Coordinator with proven experience in IT Asset Management and end-user upgrade deployments. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate end user for project upgrade, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations while maintaining compliance with IT asset policies and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans for the in-place upgrade of end users.
  • Manage and co-ordinate the rollout of new Dell laptops, with a migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
  • Manage end users to upgrade to Windows 11 software
  • Manage timelines, stakeholders and communication. Ensure efficient handshakes between technical resources, asset manager and change management teams.
  • Coordinate with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • IT Asset Management
  • Maintain accurate records of hardware and software assets.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and asset lifecycle policies.
  • Collaborate with procurement and finance teams for asset tracking and reporting.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to end-users during the upgrade process.
  • Manage expectations and ensure user satisfaction post-upgrade.
  • Technical Oversight
  • Oversee compatibility checks, backup procedures, and rollback plans.
  • Ensure all systems meet security and performance standards post-upgrade.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve upgrade-related issues.
Experience
  • Matric and a Bachelors degree in IT or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management within IT environments.
  • Strong background in IT Asset Management and lifecycle tracking.
  • Experience managing Windows/Mac in-place upgrades or similar deployments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL certification is a plus.
