Job description

Reporting to the Account Director and working within the Marketing team, you will collaborate with internal creatives and external partners to deliver impactful campaigns and stand out visual assets across all media platforms. You will be responsible for maintaining the visual integrity of the different divisions within the Weylandts portfolio (Retail, , ensuring all creative work aligns with marketing goals and the brands’ identity.

This position will be based in Greenpoint, Cape Town.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead conceptual development for campaigns that differentiate each brand.
  • Responsible for all creative assets — from concept to final execution within deadlines (web, print, PR, store signage, any other TTL executions)
  • Mentor and inspire the creative team to deliver exceptional work.
  • Generate clear ideas and concepts in collaboration with the Account Director and creative team
  • Responsible for the visual style and images in magazines, newspapers, product packaging, digital and social productions.
  • Produce sketches, storyboards, art layouts based on creative visions and ideas.
  • Champion creativity while ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Shape brand identities through innovative design systems and storytelling.
  • Maintain organized files and documentation of design assets for future reference
  • Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audience
  • Stay on top of industry trends and maintaining best practice
  • Work with the Website & Content Lead in overseeing the work of the Retoucher and photographer, ensuring that their work is up to the Weylandts standard and follows the yearly Style Guide
  • The Senior Art Director is responsible to manage the day-to-day operations of the creative team involved on the project, ensuring smooth workflow, effective resource allocation, and timely delivery of creative assets.
