Job summary

A leading architectural firm in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to manage complex projects and ensure quality documentation. Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience, advanced Revit skills, and be registered with SACAP. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, as well as the capacity to work independently and collaboratively. The position offers a full-time contract with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years' experience after postgraduate studies.
  • Registered with SACAP.
  • Certification in Revit preferred.
  • Advanced technical detailing and construction documents knowledge.
  • Experience in project management and site administration.

Responsibilities

  • Produce sketch illustrations in Revit for various projects.
  • Coordinate council submission documentation.
  • Attend site meetings and quality control inspections.
  • Conduct site inspections on behalf of the Architect.

Senior Architectural Technologist – Job category: Senior Architectural Technologist. Job type: Full time. Location: Johannesburg / Waterfall from July.

Key Responsibilities
  • Knowledge and experience in documentation and construction of large-scale mixed use and complex commercial buildings. To produce sketch illustrations in Revit in line with the Architect's brief for a variety of projects.
  • >Produce and coordinate council submission documentation, both SDP and Building Plans.
  • Produce working drawings, coordinated with other disciplines.
  • Attend site meetings and quality control inspections.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor construction on behalf of Architect.
Qualifications
>Minimum Criteria and Requirements of Applicants: Minimum Bachelor’s (Honors) or NQF 7 or 8 (Architecture) Qualification. Minimum of 10 years' experience (After Post grad). Registered with SACAP. Advanced in use of Revit (certification preferred). Complete B+P Revit Assessment with minimum 80% score. Advanced knowledge of council documentation and submission process. Advanced knowledge of technical detailing and construction documents. Advanced knowledge of site administration and project management. A high standard of communication skills and attention to detail required. A commitment to providing excellent client service through efficiency and the quality in production of work. Ability to work independently and in collaborative team environment. Sufficiently experienced to resolve problems and to make decisions when required. Plans and organizes workflow and resources to ensure commitments and deadlines are met. Build working relationships in project team and with clients. Sets a positive example and displays visible loyalty to the company.
