Job summary
Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Draughtsperson to join a respected Vereeniging practice. You will produce accurate architectural drawings, site plans, elevations, and construction documents while coordinating with architects and engineers.
You will ensure compliance with SANS and building regulations, mentor junior drafters, and contribute to diverse commercial and residential projects in Gauteng.
Qualifications
- National Diploma in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in architectural drafting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and extensive experience with Revit.
Responsibilities
- Produce comprehensive architectural drawings, including site plans, floor layouts, elevations, and sections using advanced CAD techniques.
- Develop detailed construction documentation packages, including schedules and specifications.
- Coordinate with external consultants (structural, mechanical, electrical engineers) to ensure seamless integration of designs.
- Verify that all drawings and documentation comply with the latest South African National Standards (SANS) and building regulations.
- Conduct site surveys and measurements as required for design development and verification.
- Mentor junior members of the drafting team and provide quality control for technical output.
