Placements24 seeks a Senior Architectural Designer for its Benoni, Gauteng office. You will lead design development across projects, from concept to documentation, coordinating with consultants and clients to realise design intent.

The ideal candidate holds a B.Arch or M.Arch with SACAP registration and at least 6 years of post-graduate experience, with proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong presentation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) and SACAP registration.
• Minimum of 6 years of post-graduate experience in architectural design.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong conceptual design skills and eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Experience in preparing tender and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design development of architectural projects, from concept to completion.
• Create compelling design concepts, sketches, and visualisations.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
• Collaborate with clients to understand vision and present proposals.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers for integrated design.
• Conduct site visits and construction administration to realize design intent.
• Mentor junior designers and architectural technologists.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and South African standards.
