Placements24 is seeking a Senior Aircraft Systems Engineer to join the Centurion team in South Africa. The role focuses on design, integration, and testing of complex aircraft systems, driving innovation and ensuring system performance across the product lifecycle.

You will lead cross-disciplinary engineering efforts, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with manufacturing, flight test, and customer support teams to address system challenges in a cutting-edge aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in aircraft systems engineering.
• Deep knowledge of avionics, power distribution, flight controls, environmental systems.
• Proficiency with systems engineering tools (DOORS, MATLAB/Simulink) and regulatory certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and integration of avionic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Perform requirements analysis, architecture design, and component specs.
• Conduct testing, verification, and validation to meet specs and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and implement engineering solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers across the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, flight test, and support teams.
