Job summary

Klipboard seeks a senior AI engineering leader to shape how large language models are used in our products. You will design prompts, context strategies and evaluation standards, while coaching engineers across UK and SA teams to raise capability and impact.

You will drive measurable improvements, define reusable patterns, and scale AI across our product portfolio with focus on safety, accuracy and business value.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with production software experience.
• Hands-on experience with large language models and prompt design.
• Experience building evaluations or test harnesses for LLM outputs.
• Evidence of mentoring or growing other engineers.
• Fluency with AI coding tools like Copilot or Cursor.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and refine prompts and context strategies for AI features.
• Coach engineers across teams to improve AI productivity and quality.
• Set standards for prompting, evaluation and context engineering.
• Maintain high standards for safety, accuracy and data handling.
• Develop reusable prompt templates and evaluation harnesses.
• Lead internal community of practice and share measurable results.
