Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive crop management plans, including planting schedules, irrigation strategies, fertilization programs, and pest/disease control measures.

• Analyze soil, water, and plant tissue samples to monitor crop health and nutrient status, recommending corrective actions as needed.

Requirements

• Proven track record of successful crop yield improvement and sustainable agricultural practices.
• In-depth knowledge of South African agricultural conditions, soil types, climate variations, and common crop diseases/pests specific to Pietermaritzburg and its surrounding regions.
