Job summary

A leading energy supplier in South Africa seeks a Quantity Surveyor to support their operational area through proposal preparation, estimation, and contract negotiation. The ideal candidate will have a B Degree in Quantity Surveying and 5 years' experience in the construction industry, particularly in electrical and civil works. Strong financial, technical, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • 5 years' experience in Electrical, Mechanical or Civils Construction.
  • Strong understanding of NEC Suite of Documents.
  • Good knowledge of SABS/SANS.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support through competitive proposals and estimates.
  • Negotiate and conclude contracts with favourable terms.
  • Monitor compliance to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

To provide support to the operational area of the business unit through preparation of competitive proposals, accurate estimates, negotiation, and conclusion of contracts with favourable terms, as well as providing commercial and contractual guidance.

  • Strong understanding of Electrical and Civil Construction Industries
  • Good Knowledge and experience in Measuring of Construction Work and Quantity Surveying

  • B Degree / B Tech / National Higher Diploma in Quantity Surveying at NQF 7 with Credits Experience
