Job Responsibilities
- Reviewing and approving purchase orders, order entries, and shipment costings
- Monthly processing up to trial balance
- Expenditure analysis and inventory management
- Fixed asset management
- Prepare and maintain all working papers for monthly accounts
- Compiling and presenting financial reports
- Establish, implement, and oversee effective financial systems, processes, and controls
- Analyse financial data and reporting to key stakeholders for decision‑making
- Compile and submit documents for approval – SARS
- Analyse and interpret data on projects
- First approval on new beneficiaries and payments
- Updating and maintaining actual project data on the costing master database
- Reporting on project performance to key stakeholders
- Review monthly management accounts prepared by management accountants
- Prepare financial forecasts
- Cashflow projections and BBBEE
- Plan and compile documents for BBBEE audits
- Assist auditors with annual financial audit requirements and information
- Perform ad‑hoc tasks requested by the Financial and Commercial Manager
- Job costing and quoting
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Education & Training: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance
- Knowledge & Experience: Minimum 5+ years’ experience; articles will be advantageous
- Experience in a manufacturing environment will be advantageous
- Skills & Abilities: Leadership and problem‑solving skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees; superior analytical skills; good written and verbal communication skills; highly detail‑oriented and organized; ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
