Senior Financial Accountant – Stakeholder Reporting (Sasol)

Sasol is a global integrated chemicals and energy company. The role develops and implements financial accounting reports, ensures integrity of the General Ledger and Trial Balance, and delivers accurate monthly reporting within a culture that values diversity and inclusion.

Location: Sasolburg and Natref Operations, Sasolburg. Closing Date: 26 September 2025. Purpose of Job: Develop and implement a continuous input into financial and business decision-making at tactical/operational level, complete financial accounting reports, and ensure the integrity of the GL and Trial Balance for timely monthly reporting.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Populate monthly financial information in OneStream; timely and accurate monthly reporting.
  • Prepare Business Unit statutory reporting and compliance processes.
  • Coordinate and prepare 5-year short/long-term budgets; full balance sheet and income statement to submitted status in OneStream.
  • Coordinate with BU stakeholders and shareholders on budgets, forecasts, and actuals.
  • Ensure statutory reporting aligns with group timelines and requirements.
  • Prepare and review stand-alone BU annual financial statements where applicable.
  • Stakeholder/interface management with Group; provide guidance to BU financial teams on reporting frameworks.
  • Engage external/internal auditors; ensure audit files are complete with high-quality documentation.
  • Implement accounting standards; maintain a common understanding across the team; manage SOX controls and audit processes.
  • Prepare OneStream/OneSource reporting packs with minimal errors; ensure GL integrity and controlled ledger transactions.
  • Understand SAP alignment with management reporting objectives.
  • Support month-end/year-end closings per timetable; provide inputs to cash flow forecasting.
  • Provide inputs for business unit reporting; perform GL/sub-ledger reconciliations; ensure audits are seamless.
  • Maintain data accuracy with group requirements and deliver timely financial information for reporting purposes.
  • Lead tax calculations and tax returns (Income Tax, Carbon Tax) with Group Tax Services; ensure timely completion.

Formal Education: B.Com Hons Accounting / CTA or equivalent with articles and 2+ years of relevant experience; proven technical financial reporting skills.

Working Experience: 2+ years relevant experience.

Required Personal and Professional Skills: Practical financial planning, reporting, and compliance abilities; strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Country Lead: Financial Planning and Analysis – Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa

Location: Midrand. The FP&A lead oversees financial planning and analysis for CCBA, reporting to the Financial Director.

Key Outcomes:

  • Drive compliance and close-out of audit findings; ensure ERP/MSD financial protocols and internal control standards are followed; timely closure of findings with auditors and stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date finance governance documents; update policies and procedures aligned with internal control frameworks.
  • Deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting; monthly internal reports, management packs, budget packs, and board inputs.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles; coordinate annual budget planning for income statement and tactical balance sheet planning.
  • Enhance FP&A capability; refined scorecards, variance analysis, and cross-functional support with financial advice.
  • Align country reporting with CCBA group FP&A objectives; act as a strategic business partner.
  • Build finance capability and data ownership; support analytics tools (Tableau, EDW, HFM) and ensure data integrity.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting; CA(SA) or MBA is a plus; 5–7 years of financial experience with at least 5 years in management roles.

Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting. Experience with ERP systems, especially MSD, is beneficial. Industry experience in beverages or FMCG preferred.
