Job summary

Techbridge Recruitment in the Western Cape is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant/Financial Accountant to manage the general ledger, month-end close, and reporting across inventory-driven retail, wholesale or e-commerce environments.

You will reconcile bank accounts and payment platforms (Yoco, PayFast, Peach), ensure VAT compliance, strengthen internal controls, and deliver meaningful financial insights to support cash flow planning and strategic decision making.

Qualifications

• Relevant accounting qualification required (BCom Accounting, National Diploma or equivalent).
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years' accounting experience minimum.
• 5 years' Senior Accountant or Financial Accountant experience minimum.
• Strong working knowledge of Xero.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage debtor and creditor reconciliations.

• Deliver meaningful financial reporting and commercial insights.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant Accounting qualification (BCom Accounting, National Diploma or equivalent).
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum 10 years' accounting experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Senior Accountant or Financial Accountant role.
• Strong practical working knowledge of Xero.
• Experience with Cin7 or a similar inventory management system.
• Experience reconciling payment platforms such as Yoco, PayFast, Peach Payments or similar.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP and SUMIFS.
• Sound knowledge of South African VAT and statutory accounting requirements.
• Experience within a retail, wholesale, e-commerce or inventory-driven environment is essential.
