We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of effectively managing financial responsibilities and ensuring accuracy and compliance across all accounting functions. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in our financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, as well as providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with established accounting principles and regulations
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for the business
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting and forecasting processes, as well as financial analysis and strategic planning initiatives
  • Provide financial guidance to senior management, including recommending opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth
  • Assist with audits and tax filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff to develop their skills and expertise
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting position
