Overview

A global pharmaceutical company has a 3 to 6 month contract project position for a Senior Accountant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
    • Prepare and analyze accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flow.
    • Assist with the preparation and monitoring of departmental and organizational budgets and forecasts.
  • General Ledger & Month-End Close
    • Manage the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and maintained accurately.
    • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing complex journal entries.
    • Perform detailed account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet accounts.
    • Oversee and manage the accurate recording of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Compliance, Internal Controls & Audit
    • Ensure all financial reporting and accounting activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Assist with the coordination and successful completion of annual internal and external financial audits and tax filings.
    • Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and improve efficiency.
Required Qualifications and Skills

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • In-depth, proven knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management.
  • Experience with financial reporting, general ledger functions, and the month-end / year-end close process.
