Job summary

A leading accounting firm in Pretoria is looking for a Senior Accountant to handle accounting and limited assurance engagements for its clients. The ideal candidate holds a B.Com Financial Accounting Degree along with SAICA training and preferably has experience within an audit firm. This position requires strong teamwork, client focus, and excellent problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Afrikaans is advantageous. The position is based in Gauteng with a closing date for applications on December 31, 2025.

Qualifications

• Completed SAICA Training Contract in Assurance environment required.
• Post article experience within an audit and accounting firm is beneficial.
• Understanding of Afrikaans preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Forvis Mazars in Gauteng is looking for a dynamic individual to join their Accounting and Independent Review Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing accounting and limited assurance engagements for small to medium-sized businesses client base.
• Prepare and process accounting entries
• Reconcile monthly accounts
• Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
• Perform and or manage limited assurance engagements
• Manage individual productivity (include completion of timesheets)
• Foster, build and maintain professional relationships with clients

Minimum Requirements

Candidate Requirements

• B.Com Financial Accounting Degree or equivalent from a reputable institution
• Completed SAICA Training Contract in Assurance environment
• Post article experience within an audit and accounting firm will be beneficial
