Senior Accountant – D1Seriti, Middelburg Mine Services, Mpumalanga

The purpose of this role is to execute financial management reporting and planning, support budget management and tracking, conduct financial planning analysis and budgeting whilst operating as the business partner to the operations and functions embedding financial discipline and providing sound financial management advice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage mine functions forecasts and budgets.
• Execute budgeting and forecasting processes, including budget submissions.
• Maintain accurate costing model for business.
• Track and report cost and productivity initiatives.
• Continuously track and report operational financial performance.
• Perform financial analysis including variance analysis, scenario, and option analysis.
• Execute cost accounting processes timely and effectively, ensuring operational discipline and strict adherence to internal accounting guidelines and controls.
• Execute month‑end costing activities.
• Finalize results of operational performance and report to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of finance related experience.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Understanding of accounting policies, ERP systems, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and cost control.
• Good analytical skills.
• Competent in Finance Reporting Standards.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, company policies and procedures.
• Valid driver's license.
• In possession of or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness.

Preferred

• Professional accreditation CA / CIMA / ACCAS.
• Mining Software and Mining industry experience.
• Contract management experience.
