Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes.
  • Develop, manage, and oversee the company’s financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Support strategic initiatives and business planning through financial modeling and analysis.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements in compliance with GAAP (or IFRS).
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Manage internal controls, financial audits, and risk assessments.
  • Support audits (internal and external) by providing documentation and explanations.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to all finance/accounting staff; supervise and mentor staff to ensure efficient team performance.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support operational and financial goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Masters or MBA preferred).
  • CPA, CMA, CFA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in financial management, accounting, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Acumatica, QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft); Acumatica experience is a massive advantage.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of tax reporting and compliance.
  • Experience in strategic planning and business development.
  • Understanding of international finance and multi‑currency environments (for global firms).
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with inventory, job costing, and project‑based accounting.
