We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Senior Accountant. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance Department in Richmond Park, Cape Town.
This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, strong internal controls, and full statutory compliance.
The ideal candidate will bring solid technical accounting expertise, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to improving financial processes.

Oversee the complete accounting function, including Debtors, Creditors, Inventory, and General Ledgers.
Review, prepare, and manage monthly management accounts.
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all supporting documentation is accurate and up to date.
Assist in budget preparation and perform monthly Budget vs. Actual analyses, providing sound variance explanations.
Monitor and interpret cash flow; prepare accurate forecasts and manage working capital effectively.
Assist with preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS for SMEs.
Support and coordinate annual external audits and maintain strong communication with auditors.
Manage accounts receivable to ensure efficient collections and minimal overdue debtors.
Oversee accounts payable to ensure supplier payments are made within agreed credit terms.
Align and enforce consistent financial controls and processes across all business portfolios.
Manage all statutory compliance, including VAT, Income Tax, Payroll Tax, and other SARS submissions (VAT, Provisional Tax, Income Tax, EMP, EMP).
Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and legislative requirements.
Maintain accurate Fixed Asset and Tax Asset Registers.
Manage and reconcile bank accounts, ensuring payments and bank captures are completed accurately and timeously.
Oversee fleet management and control processes.
Provide support for insurance matters and BBBEE‑related documentation and reporting.
Ensure robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
Perform accurate and timely bank captures, reconciliations, and payment processing.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, IFRS for SMEs, and statutory compliance requirements.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting / ERP systems - Xero.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across.
Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
