Overview

Our client a leading player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods sector is seeking a seasoned Accountant with a proven track record in a fast-paced commercial environment. This is a key role for a hands-on finance professional who thrives on structure, precision and operational excellence. The successful candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years accounting experience within the FMCG space and possess the technical capability to compile full Management Accounts. Only a completed BCom or BCompt degree from one of the following accredited institutions will be considered for this position: UNISA UCT Stellenbosch University Rhodes UJ or University of Pretoria.

Responsibilities

• Prepare review and maintain accurate financial records statements and reports
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Maintain the general ledger
• Ensure correct account allocations and classifications
• Support budgeting forecasting and overall financial planning activities
• Evaluate and enhance financial processes internal controls and compliance frameworks
• Analyse financial data to deliver clear insights and recommendations that support decision-making
• Manage intercompany accounts and reconciliations across entities
• Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts and performance reports

Skills & Experience

• 5 years of accounting experience working in the FMCG industry
• Strong team management skills
• Proficiency in Sage Evolution
• Capability to compile management accounts

Qualifications

• Completed BCom or BCompt degree from any institution listed above
• Completed Matric (Grade 12)
