Job description

We are looking for your expertise as a Senior Account Manager responsible for conduct work directly related to management or general business operations in an organization or functional area. The role requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged course of specialized instruction, experience, and expertise. This position includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance. The role performs overall supplier management and is responsible for total account delivery. Woodmead, Johannesburg.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing seven high‑profile clients within the engineering, mining, and oil & gas sectors, fostering strong in‑house relationships.
  • Delivering accurate reporting and impactful presentations.
  • Participating in bids and tenders, including drafting client‑specific costing models.
  • Driving problem‑solving initiatives and collaborating closely with cross‑functional departments to develop effective solutions.
  • Leveraging experience with ATS systems and team management to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Responsible for oversight of client’s account, provide consistency of service, and up‑sell additional services to the client.
  • Drive utilization upward for both contract and direct hires.
  • Manage, maintain, and improve the strategic relationship with key stakeholders.
  • Participate in recruitment meetings.
  • Strong networking/relationship building ability.
  • Good knowledge of labor laws and human resource practices.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years* of work‑related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years* if non‑degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time‑conscious and time‑effective manner.
