Account Executive Expert – Role Overview
  • Responsible for selling SAP® products and solutions and certain partner solutions.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with SAP® customers, prospective customers, and partners, and for maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Identifies opportunities and generates demand where SAP’s integrated solutions address a customer’s business needs.
  • Supports efforts to ensure solutions are adopted and value is realized.
  • Responsible for the continuity and expansion of the customer’s ongoing business with SAP.
  • Focused on named existing and/or prospective accounts.
  • Maintains customer relationships and influences customers’ requirements specification.
Key Responsibilities and Competencies
  • Manages projects, defines deliverables, and provides definitive advice and interpretation of situations.
  • Ensures business‑critical and innovative results; ensures that goals and milestones are met, and approved budgets are managed appropriately.
  • Manages escalation appropriately and tracks single‑project budget lines.
  • Builds strategic partnerships with key decision makers in customer and partner organizations; may include team lead or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Provides regular project status updates.
  • Represents SAP to customers, delivering quality outcomes for high‑volume or high‑risk projects.
  • Finds common ground for cooperation within the project team and communicates messages relevant to the project in a timely manner with constructive feedback.
  • Captures stakeholder opinions and expectations and communicates them to the project team.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Sound professional experience in project management.
  • Deep knowledge of project management skills; depending on line of business, holds a PMI, Six Sigma, or equivalent certification (black belt preferred).
  • Strong functional skills and broad knowledge of the relevant corporate sub‑function.
  • Experience with high‑volume or high‑risk/complex projects and innovative solutions.
