Role Overview

As a Senior Account Executive, you will be instrumental in driving RelyComply's enterprise growth strategy by building and expanding strategic partnerships with tier 1 banks and financial institutions across Africa. You will leverage your expertise in enterprise SaaS sales and your digital-first approach to deliver results, aligning client needs with our innovative compliance solutions. This role is pivotal in advancing our mission to modernise compliance and strengthen trust in global financial systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Forge and expand strategic relationships with C-level executives and stakeholders at tier 1 banks and leading financial institutions.
  • Drive full-cycle enterprise sales for RelyComply's AI-powered compliance solutions, from lead generation to closing and onboarding.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities to exceed quarterly and annual ARR targets.
  • Develop tailored account plans and execute consultative sales strategies that address client-specific compliance challenges.
  • Deliver compelling, customised presentations and pitches to executive audiences.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless client experience and solution delivery.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline data, forecasting, and activity tracking using CRM and sales enablement tools.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes to position RelyComply as a trusted advisor and thought leader.
Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 7 years of experience in enterprise B2B sales, preferably within the technology or financial services sector. Proven track record managing complex sales cycles with large financial institutions or enterprise clients. A deep understanding of compliance, RegTech, and risk management solutions (AML, KYC, KYB, fraud). Strong proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and digital sales enablement platforms.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Advanced certifications in sales or financial compliance (e.g., Certified Anti‑Money Laundering Specialist – CAMS). Experience exceeding revenue targets in enterprise SaaS sales within fintech or RegTech environments. Expertise with enterprise sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, MEDDIC, Challenger, or SPIN Selling. Evidenced adoption of emerging digital technologies to maximise productivity and effectiveness.

What Success Looks Like
  • Achieve or exceed % of annual new ARR targets through acquisition of new enterprise clients.
  • Secure at least one new client per quarter and maintain a robust pipeline with 5× coverage.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans that result in long‑term, high‑value partnerships.
  • Deliver impactful platform demos and pitches, contributing directly to RelyComply's reputation as an industry leader.
