Placements24 is seeking a vigilant and analytical Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join our cybersecurity team remotely. You will monitor security alerts, analyze events from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR tools, and initiate incident response to protect our digital assets.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in a SOC or IT security operations role, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, and familiarity with Splunk or QRadar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1-3 years in a SOC, IT security operations, or network monitoring.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar and security event analysis.
• Understanding of common cyber threats, attack vectors, and network security fundamentals.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work remotely and independently.

Responsabilités

• Monitor security events and alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions.
• Investigate potential security incidents, perform initial analysis, and escalate to appropriate teams.
• Respond to security alerts in a timely and effective manner, documenting all actions taken.
• Analyze threat intelligence feeds to identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities relevant to the organization.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of SOC playbooks and standard operating procedures.

About the Role

You will work with advanced security tools to analyze suspicious activities and ensure the integrity of our systems. Key Responsibilities
