Bridge Personnel Concepts seeks a Security Manager for a mineral processing plant in the KwaZulu-Natal region. The role focuses on leading security risk management, advising executives on security plans and contingency measures, and ensuring compliance with ISPS and related maritime security regulations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in security management and crime investigations, with a valid EB driver’s license and proficiency in MS Office.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Security Management or Risk Management.
• Minimum 5 years managerial experience and 5 years crime investigation experience.
• Experience in security emergency response, project management.
• Code EB Driver’s Licence required.

Security Manager

CLIENT in the MINERAL PROCESSING PLANT requires the services of a SECURITY MANAGER at their plant in the KZN Area as soon as possible.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. To manage and lead Security Risk Management.
2. To provide expert advice and consultancy to Management on the implementation of security operational plans in line with broader business plans, and to ensure effective contingency plans are in place for crisis situations.
3. To implement and manage sound security practices and measures, and compliance with applicable national legislation and international standards.
4. To facilitate, monitor and ascertain the implementation of maritime security measures and procedures within the COMPANY in compliance with the International Ship and Port Security (ISPS) Code, the Merchant Shipping (Maritime Security) Regulations 2004 and other related maritime security legislation and arrangements.
5. To research and monitor security indicators and trends in the organization, and stay abreast of applicable worldwide best practices and regulations ensuring that the business is not exposed to security risks.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Security Management / Risk Management; qualifications and experience in professional security related fields; security emergency response; Project Management; 5 years managerial experience; 5 years crime investigation experience, understanding of the investigation of all on-site crime related incidents.

Skills
Sound management and leadership skills; sound knowledge of the ISPS code and maritime security regulations and other relevant legislation; proven track record in security management or equivalent environment; Code EB Driver’s Licence; Computer Literacy (Ms Office); good communication and influencing skills to drive change at all levels within the organization; negotiation and coordination; Surveillance/Counter-surveillance (Practical course 2 months (NIA); Communication Crypto-Security (SACSA); Firearm Coordinator certificate; investigations/intelligence; knowledge of security and emergency risks within the workplace.
