A leading security services company in Cape Town is seeking a Security Inspector. The successful candidate will oversee site inspections, train security personnel, and enforce safety regulations. Candidates must have at least 5 years of supervisory experience in the Safety & Security sector and be registered with PSIRA. Job Title: Security Inspector

Reporting to: Security Manager

Job Type: Permanent Position

Responsibilities (Not Limited to the Below)
  • Posting of Security Personnel
  • Perform site inspections at satellite branches and discuss preventative measures.
  • Identify and mitigate risk
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement preventative measures
  • Support management with security operations
  • Manage conflict and client dissatisfaction
  • Investigate and manage on-site incidents
  • Training Security personnel to ensure the safety of the company’s employees, clients and property.
  • Ensure efficiency and productivity of Security personnel.
  • Ensure that the Company rules, procedures and policies are adhered to at all times within the expected deadlines.
  • Ensuring that discipline is enforced.
  • Ensure that Occupational Health and safety regulations are enforced and adhered to.
  • Evaluating all collated information and documentation.
  • Risk Auditing and reporting
  • Support control room as and when needed
Qualifying Criteria
  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent with good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Driver’s license and own, reliable transport is essential
  • At least 5 years of Supervisory experience in the Safety & Security Sector
  • Registered with PSIRA – Minimum Grade A
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Willing to work irregular hours (shifts) and overtime
  • In good health and physical stature
  • Sober habits
  • Disciplined to apply company policies and procedure
  • Control Room experience is advantageous

Standard Hours

07h30 – 17h00: Monday to Thursday
07h30 – 16h00: Friday
Work overtime as per operational requirements.
