Technical Supervisor

Purpose of the Role

To manage and maintain quality within Fidelity Secure Drive. Maintain and resolve customer related issues. Present and defend Fidelity Secure Drive all fitment related issues where required. To contribute daily to our mission of earning the reputation that we provide all our clients and partners with superior quality technology and information supported by first rate service. The incumbent must uphold our promise to clients that we go beyond the expected.

Responsibilities
  • Management and maintenance of all allocated resources, including vehicle, tools, stock, cell phone devices
  • Ensuring cleanliness, traffic offence compliance, roadworthiness and stock take
  • Safekeeping and maintenance of tools and ensuring they are serviceable
  • Resolving missing stock and monitoring data usage of cell phones
  • Maintaining uniform and ensuring it is clean and presentable as per PSIRA
  • Perform daily administration and office duties relating to filing, register updates and database maintenance
  • On‑the‑job coaching of technicians and attending to all complaints
  • Providing product support onsite and remotely, dealing with technical and client queries
  • Assisting with fitments and completing hardware installations to required quality and timelines
  • Repair, maintenance and installation of tracking systems and fitment quality
  • Assist with technical evaluations and repairs, implementing new fitment techniques based on OEM guidelines
  • Ensuring personal hygiene as per PSIRA and adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Taking initiative to develop own skills and providing comprehensive feedback to internal role players
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • Matric
  • Driver's licence (code B)
  • Clear Criminal Record
  • PSIRA Grade C
  • Trade test in motor electrical electronics or similar preferred
  • Auto‑electrician qualification advantageous
  • At least 6–10 years experience in the fitment of vehicle tracking equipment
