Job Description
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Ensure all relevant project and activity data are captured on the Valterra Platinum data management system(s) i.e. Smartsheet, Isometrix, etc.
  • Plan and manage the application of the Valterra Platinum Social Impact Standard.
  • Oversee the application of Social and Human Impact Risk (SHIRA) in identifying, assessing and managing social risks.
  • Ensure the team, site management and staff understand the SED component of the Social Impact Standard.
  • Lead and contribute to the development and defining of the site SMP in line with the Social Impact Standard and/or business strategy.
  • Support the site in developing strategic Social Impact Standard priorities and associated KPIs.
  • Implement the systems, management tools and business processes aligned to the business objectives and lead the achievement thereof.
  • Ensure the alignment of the sustainability reporting in line with the requirements of the Social Impact Standard and Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy.
  • Set‑up of required controls to ensure delivery against these standards and the objectives as defined in the project charter.
  • Support the GM and the SPMC and the direct reports in developing strategic priorities and associated KPIs.
  • Coordinate the compilation of Valterra Platinum reports to Platinum Business’ sites and Group.
  • Active leadership in compiling reports and evidence in preparatory phase and during social performance related compliance audit (i.e. Social Impact Standard, IRMA, ABAS, etc.).
Qualifications

Tertiary qualification: Relevant Graduate degree, Post graduate degree desired.

A valid EB/Code 08 driver’s license

  • Facilitating and the implementation of local employment, enterprise and supplier (ESD) development strategy
