Starbucks South Africa is hiring baristas to join our store teams in Durban. You will brew and serve beverages, create a welcoming environment for a diverse community of customers, and help run the store as a multi-skilled partner.

The role emphasizes excellent service, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced retail setting. Training programmes are provided to immerse you in Starbucks culture and set you up for success.

• Brew and serve high-quality beverages using Starbucks recipes and techniques.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere for a diverse customer base.
• Support store operations as a multi-skilled partner including cleaning, replenishment and queue management.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the store.
• Assist with stock of merchandise and consumables during busy periods.
• Support customers and maintain a welcoming cafe environment throughout the day.
• Assist with queue management during high-volume periods.
• Complete tasks to allow the team to focus on beverage production and service.

• Help ensure merchandise, consumables, condiment stations and other key areas remain well stocked, particularly during busy periods.
• Support customers and help maintain a welcoming café environment throughout the day.
• Assist with queue management and customer flow during high-volume periods.
• Complete supporting tasks that allow the team to remain focused on beverage production, handoff and service speed.
• Learn and grow in a supportive environment with opportunities for advancement.

These training programmes are delivered in our stores and provide partners with the opportunity to learn on the job, supported by their manager.
