Introduction

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Scrum Master to facilitate Agile delivery across multiple teams within a dynamic digital and technology environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile frameworks and servant leadership, driving collaboration, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure effective backlog refinement sessions with the Product Owner and delivery team.
• Support the team in breaking down work into achievable sprint goals and deliverables.
• Track sprint progress, velocity, and delivery metrics to drive accountability and transparency.
• Manage and report on sprint health and impediments to relevant stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Coach the team on Agile values, principles, and best practices.
• Encourage open communication, constructive feedback, and psychological safety within the team.
• Mentor team members on Agile maturity and self-organization.
• Protect the team from external interruptions and scope creep during sprint execution.
• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Technical Leads to ensure clarity of requirements and priorities.
• Facilitate alignment between business and technical teams on delivery timelines, risks, and dependencies.
• Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to management and stakeholders in a transparent manner.
• Support cross-team coordination where interdependencies exist.
• Drive the use of Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts, cycle time, team happiness) to inform retrospectives and improvements.
• Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks.
• Champion best practices in Agile, DevOps, and lean delivery.
• Promote experimentation and iterative feedback loops to optimize processes.
• Ensure adherence to organizational delivery governance and compliance frameworks.
• Maintain sprint documentation, reports, and artefacts.
• Use tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or Trello to manage sprint workflows.
• Support audit readiness and traceability of deliverables where required.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Management.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) required.
• Agile certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP, Agile Coach, or SAFe Agilist) advantageous.
• 3-5 years’ experience as a Scrum Master in technology-driven environments.
• Solid understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe).

• Proficiency with Agile tooling: JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with software delivery life cycle (SDLC) and DevOps pipelines.
• Strong understanding of backlog management and prioritization processes.
• Experience facilitating Agile teams in digital transformation or software engineering environments.
• Exposure to CI/CD, cloud-based environments (AWS/Azure), or API-driven projects is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities across technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
