Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Science Teacher to join a vibrant and forward‑thinking secondary school in the Newcastle area starting ASAP. This is a full‑time role initially running until December with the potential to become a permanent position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching KS3 and KS4 Science, including both Dual Award and Triple Award pathways, ensuring students are engaged, challenged and supported to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan, prepare and assess work in line with curriculum requirements
  • Teach across Dual Award and Triple Award Science ensuring progress for all learners
  • Create a positive classroom environment that supports learning and progress
  • Contribute to the wider Science department and school community
Ideal Candidate Will
  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
  • Be passionate about inspiring young people through Science
  • Show excellent classroom management and communication skills
