An international diamond company located in Cape Town is seeking a qualified artisan to evaluate repair equipment and negotiate purchase orders. The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years of technical experience in a Marine and/or Mining environment. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to analyze technical drawings are essential. Job Description: The purpose of this role is to evaluate equipment received for repair and to determine suitable source of supply for RFQ's as well as assisting in the witnessing of testing where required, negotiating, placement and expediting Purchase Orders for materials for DB Technology, DBGS and Namdeb operations. The role is also required to co-ordinate all repair equipment to be purchased from DBMN and to facilitate the tracking and receipt of all equipment through the rotable system, via the Port Nolloth SCC or from vessel during in-port.
