A specialised scaffolding provider offering hire, refurbishment, transport, and on-site operational support across multiple projects. Strong operational systems, safety-focused processes, and efficient service delivery drive the business. This role sits at the core of daily operations, ensuring seamless coordination between yard activities, fleet movements, and scaffold management.
This role is responsible for managing all logistics, scaffold handling, fleet coordination, yard operations, and quality control procedures. You will oversee trucks, forklifts, material movements, loading accuracy, cross-hire stock, refurbishment processes, and personnel management. The role ensures daily operational discipline, accurate reporting, compliance, and the optimisation of all scaffold and transport activities.
Bring several years of experience managing logistics, scaffold operations, or similar yard and fleet functions
Manage and monitor hire trucks, forklifts, daily movements, utilisation, and return times
Conduct spot checks using Cartrack and Manage360 Live, and maintain accurate logs and inspection records
Coordinate daily deliveries and collections, supervise loading, and submit daily movement reports
Ensure all delivery paperwork, Fusion capturing, maps, and routing instructions are completed and issued correctly
Oversee driver management, including training on safety, loading protocols, PPE, and conducting alcohol tests
Compile weekly and monthly cost, stock, cross-hire, quality, damages, and refurbishment reports
Align loading lists with operational needs, verify material accuracy, and ensure counter staff competency
Source materials, negotiate pricing, manage cross-hire limits, reconcile supplier statements, and maintain tracking systems
Implement quality control across the yard and site, enforce housekeeping standards, and support Health & Safety processes
Manage refurbishment procurement, team productivity, and reporting
Lead weekly and monthly operational meetings with structured agendas and documentation
Oversee yard personnel management, training, KPIs, disciplinary processes, and toolbox talks
Manage second-hand scaffold repair, refurbishment, stock accuracy, and procurement requirements
Support general operational duties, including managing risks related to diesel tank usage
Strong experience in logistics, fleet, scaffold, or yard operations management
Proven leadership and supervisory skills across diverse operational teams
Highly accountable, organised, and results-focused with strong problem-solving ability
Skilled in maintaining operational documentation, inspections, and reporting structures
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to enforce standards and drive improvement
Process-driven mindset with a continuous improvement focus
