As a Finance Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting operational efficiency, highlighting areas of cost improvement initiatives, and enabling client delivery through robust financial reporting, insight generation, and improved process design.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for tasks, processes or entities in the area of Financial Reporting which includes solving problems and responding to ad hoc queries for assigned areas.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external client-facing teams to provide financial insight for operational restructuring and transformation programmes.
  • Develop and assist in the setup and maintenance of dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
  • Identify and establish key lines of enquiry for drivers of the position independently.
  • Lead and manage finance managers and junior finance officers.
  • Develop change initiatives with financial insights, helping to shape cost optimisation and workforce planning programmes.
  • Work collaboratively to drive ideas/solutions with peers and managers which will improve Client and PwC's efficiency.
  • Develop close relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Manage your own workload, including reporting on progress and issues.
  • Develop the ability to be agile and support a range of client/projects.
  • Implement and adapt to new or changing processes quickly.
  • Build relationships with all team members within PwC including engagement with client teams as well as customers of our clients.
Experience required
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience leading and managing Finance Managers and Junior Finance Officers.
  • Strong data analytics capability – ability to interpret large volumes of financial data to generate meaningful insights.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI and Alteryx for dashboarding, automation, and reporting.
  • Understanding of cost transformation levers such as procurement optimisation and workforce efficiency.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a high‑paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Knowledge or an interest in the Health Industry.
