Qualifications & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant subject areas such as Finance, Business, Data or Technology.
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in delivering technology and data programmes (e.g. ERP data migrations).
Technical Experience
  • Proven experience in managing and motivating technical teams, including providing coaching and mentorship.
  • Demonstrable ability in overseeing multiple projects simultaneously whilst being resilient and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Strong experience and/or certifications in Python & SQL.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, and familiarity with cloud deployment tools and practices.
  • Hands‑on experience and/or certifications in ERP / CRM / HR systems such as Workday, Sage, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics & Salesforce.
  • Proven IT skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability and willingness to travel worldwide when the project dictates.
Desirable Skills
  • Technical skills in data migrations, data governance, data script development, and data projects related to ERP / CRM / HR systems.
  • Experience with applications such as Alteryx and/or Informatica is advantageous.
  • Experience in managing containerised applications (e.g. FastAPI, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of best practices in software development and effective team collaboration.
  • Experience using GitHub for version control, collaboration and code reviews.
  • Hands‑on experience in leveraging GenAI for software development.
  • Experience working with finance systems.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality client projects within data and technology programmes.
  • Work with clients, report to seniors and coach junior staff.
  • Create and review client deliverables including executive reports, detailed design documentation and develop data scripts.
  • Identify migration requirements, execute migration cycles, ensure a consistent migration approach and collaborate with clients to resolve data issues.
  • Provide practical data and technology expertise to design robust migration solutions and support the maintenance of assets such as the PwC Data Migration Suite.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various competencies and regions within PwC Consulting to deliver high‑value solutions, including data migration for large‑scale transformation programmes.
  • Work with UK colleagues on client projects and internal initiatives, and collaborate with international teams when needed.
  • Stay current with data and technology trends, particularly AI, and drive innovation to enhance client impact.
Location & Team

Based in Cape Town and working closely with PwC UK, the role sits within a rapidly growing part of PwC's Data Engineering and Migration team within our Consulting practice.
