Spinnaker Support provides global enterprise software support, managed services, and project-based consulting to many of the world's most recognized and respected brands.

Spinnaker Support has an immediate opening for a SAP Solutions Consultant to join our team in South Africa.

The primary focus of a Solutions Consultant is to work collaboratively with the Spinnaker Support Account Executives during the opportunity / prospect development process, acting as the technical and security subject matter expert on a core set of Spinnaker Support product and service offerings.

The Solutions Consultant will primarily participate in the sales process through prospect technical landscape and spend analysis, and technical solution development while acting as the subject matter expert that addresses all technical concerns.

This role will support both third party support and managed services sales pursuits.

Although this role is remote, the successful candidate will be required to attend occasional meetings at potential customers.

Responsibilities

This is an exciting and broad role where your voice will be forefront in shaping how we help our clients.

It is a consultative advisory role that enables our customers translate their technical stack into solutions.

You will advise our customers on their journey of understanding alternate methods of support, based on your experience and practice or awareness of the deployment, management, and updates for the SAP ERP stack (any exposure to Oracle is a bonus).

You will heavily participate in and contribute to commercial aspects of solution by drafting support spend estimates and cost prediction models.

You will play a key role in driving both technical and financial aspects of the solution by working with other teams across different time zones and often under tight timelines.

You will thrive working as a team but also shine working on your own with minimal supervision, continuously learning and enhancing your contributions by leveraging expertise and knowledge.

You will be adept at reading audience on conversations and be able to tailor your talk track or responses accordingly.

You will help frame stories and interpret technology challenges into real business solutions and outcomes.

You will advise your peers in sales on the interwoven nature of the ERP platform in front of you.

You will work across a broad range of industries in the EMEA region as well as globally and across a wide range of unique and different customer sets.

Participate in RFP / I / Q by taking lead where applicable.

Demonstrate foresight by identifying gaps in messaging and create quality collateral (PowerPoint slides, whitepapers, data analysis) with minimal supervision.

Demonstrate clear understanding of SAP security concepts in front of prospective customers.

Requirements

Experience in a customer-facing role such as consultant, solutions engineer or solutions architect.

Excellent problem‑solving skills.

Ability to listen and work with customers in order to fully understand the problem or gap facing them and make sure they adopt the best possible solution.

Excellent presentation, communication and soft skills with the ability to articulate Spinnaker message to both technical and non‑technical (including CxO level) audience.

Ability to think rationally and creatively in order to identify opportunities in challenges.

Excellent product knowledge (mainly around ECC, S4/HANA) from 10+ year’s experience.

Proficient in SAP applications like FICO, SD, MM, WM, PP (Financials, Logistics, Healthcare) – Functional expertise preferred.

Well‑versed with industry specific IT processes within SAP

Demonstrates an excellent attitude towards challenges, adept at transforming them into effective solutions.

Solid awareness of SAP Cloud strategies.

Good knowledge and / or experience with SAP Security.

It will be hugely beneficial to understand the roadmap for SAP – RISE / GROW in particular.
