A tech solutions company is seeking a Data Migration Lead to manage and deliver SAP data migration activities. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in SAP data migration or ETL projects, strong leadership skills, and preferably experience in Public Sector projects. This role offers the opportunity to drive successful data migration initiatives and collaborate with business teams, ensuring data accuracy and governance. Based in Cape Town, this position requires a combination of technical expertise and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SAP data migration or ETL projects.
• Proven experience in migration delivery leadership.
• Preferably with Public Sector project experience.

The Data Migration Lead is responsible for managing and delivering SAP data migration activities, ensuring accurate extraction, transformation, loading, validation, and reconciliation of data in S/4HANA conversion projects. This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to drive successful data migration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP data migration activities, including data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL).
• Validate and reconcile migrated data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize S/4HANA conversion tooling and approaches effectively.
• Provide delivery leadership for migration projects, ensuring timelines, quality, and governance are met.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to resolve data-related issues.

Qualifications & Certifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in SAP data migration or ETL projects.
• SAP Data Services / Migration Certification preferred.
• Proven experience in migration delivery leadership.

Candidate Requirements

• Experienced, senior-level professional.
• Preferably with Public Sector project experience.
• Based in Cape Town or willing to work locally.
