Sales Specialist - Namibia & Botswana

Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth and business within the assigned markets of Namibia and Botswana, aligning with Hitachi Energy’s business strategy.
- Sell products, systems, and services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for all business units.
- Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand and meet their needs.
- Promote customer understanding of the full product, systems, and services offering and align solutions to fit those needs.
- Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
- Prepare sales plans using company tools.
- Perform regular status reviews and propose recovery plans when potential order shortfalls arise.
- Create added value for the customer and Hitachi Energy, ensuring successful outcomes of transactions, contracts, and proposals through effective sales techniques.
- Communicate details in accordance with Hitachi Energy’s offering and strategy.
- Ensure efficient marketing activities and a clear value proposition to customers.
- Identify and drive the development of new market opportunities in the designated market, sharing know‑how and fostering cross‑collaboration.
- Manage administrative procedures in sales processes and support collection and project‑management activities when needed.
- Prepare offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager.
- Ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in electrical or electronic engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5‑7 years of experience in customer relationship building, business development, and sales in the power utility environment.
- Proven track record of sales of Hitachi Energy‑related projects and products.
- In‑depth understanding of the market and operating environment of the target country(ies).
- Proven experience working with cross‑country teams in Hitachi Energy’s business areas is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
