Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the growth of sales and business within the assigned markets of Namibia and Botswana, in accordance with the business strategy of Hitachi Energy.

Responsibilities

How You'll Make An Impact selling products / systems / services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for all the Business Units according to defined targets. Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs. Promoting customer understanding of full product, systems and services offering, and aligning to provide suitable solutions.

Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. Preparing sales plans using company tools. Performing regular status reviews and proposing recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls. Creating added value for the customer and Hitachi Energy, ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques.

Communicating details in accordance with Hitachi Energy's offering and strategy. Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers. Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensuring know-how sharing and cross‑collaboration. Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supporting collection and project management activities when needed. Preparing offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager.

Ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions. Living Hitachi Energy's core values safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Qualifications

Basic background: Bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical or electronic engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5‑7 years of experience in customer relationship‑building, business development and sales in the power utility environment. Proven track record of sales of Hitachi Energy‑related projects and products. In‑depth understanding of the market and operating environment of the target country(ies). Proven experience in working with cross‑country teams in the business areas of Hitachi Energy is advantageous. Must be willing to travel extensively. Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
