Introduction

The Skills Solution Specialist is responsible for promoting and selling accredited training and skills development solutions to corporate clients.

The role involves identifying business opportunities, developing client relationships, and providing tailored training solutions aligned with industry and legislative requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and sell skills development and training solutions to corporate clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through effective lead generation and networking.
  • Conduct needs analyses and design customised training proposals to meet client requirements.
  • Deliver engaging presentations and proposals to clients.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends, SETA compliance, and relevant legislation.
  • Ensure excellent after-sales service, client satisfaction, and long-term retention.
  • Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Preferred Requirements
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and results‑driven approach to business development.
  • High level of professionalism and strong client service orientation.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle rejections positively.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • National Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in sales, preferably within the training and development or educational services sector.
  • Knowledge and experience with SETA‑accredited training programmes.
  • Strong understanding of skills development legislation, including the Skills Development Act and BBBEE codes.
  • Ability to explain complex training solutions in a clear and client‑friendly manner.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
