Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Sales Representative based in Pinetown to grow sales of VSDs, PLCs, and Microsonic products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and providing technical support. Candidates should have strong communication skills and experience in industrial automation is advantageous. The position requires local travel within the KZN region.

Qualifications

  • Experience in VSDs, PLCs, Ultrasonic sensors, and industrial automation is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and processes required.
  • Must possess superior oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Grow the current turnover of VSD, PLC & Microsonic sales.
  • Identify new opportunities and customers.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers.
  • Travel locally and provide sales reports monthly.

Skills

Experience in VSDs, PLC’s, Ultrasonic sensors and industrial automation
Knowledge of CRM system and process
Knowledge of MS Windows/MS Word, MS PowerPoint & MS Excel
Superior oral/written communication skills
Knowledge of Modbus, Communication Protocols
Basic knowledge of electrical requirements for VSDs and instrumentation

Job description

Main job function

Our client looking for a long term sales representative as a member of our Drives and PLC & Microsonic sales team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks which include visiting territory accounts to increase sales in the designated region to increase market share of our products. The sales engineer will also assist and participate as necessary on field technical support calls to educate and assist our end user customer’s use of our products in their application. This position also requires travel to customer locations in the KZN region to develop new business and expand market position in existing accounts.

Objectives of the role

  • To grow the current turn over of VSD,PLC & Microsonic sales
  • To identify new oppurtunities and customers in the relevant markets
  • To maintain and grow current relationships formed with existing customers
  • To provide a contact point for customers requiring technical assistance on our VSD,PLC & Microsonic products
  • To ensure customer understanding of the benefits of our brand of VSD’s ,PLCs & Microsonic range over other brands in the market

Make sales calls with sales representatives or to direct accounts independently in order to meet sales goals

Manage and develop business for VSD’d, PLC’s & Microsonic through various prospecting and marketing activities

Prompt following up on sent quotes and provide customer feedback to management when neccessary

Growing a pipeline in line with required target

Must be able to strictly adhere to safety instructions and follow directions

Must be able to work independently and be detail oriented

Travel locally

Provide sales reports monthly of progress and targets

Required Skills
