Job Description
Purpose of the Role
The SalesRepresentative will be responsible for driving sales and growth within theVascular Access, Critical Care, and Airway division across the KwaZulu-Natalregion. The incumbent will service existing accounts, develop new business,maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, and contribute tothe overall success of the business through effective sales and marketingactivities.
Region : CBD, North Coast, South Coast, inland country trip.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Service existingaccounts and identify new business opportunities within the assignedterritory.
- Meet and exceed salestargets and performance metrics.
- Conduct effectiveproduct presentations, demonstrations, and training to clinical personnel.
- Manage consignment andboot stock efficiently, ensuring accurate inventory tracking.
- Maintain accuraterecords of all customer interactions, sales leads, and territoryperformance in the CRM system (Force Manager).
- Monitor competitors’activities, pricing, and product offerings; recommend strategies tomanagement.
- Participate inafter-hours and weekend activities such as training sessions andcongresses when necessary.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintainstrong professional relationships with healthcare stakeholders, includingphysicians, key opinion leaders, nurses, theatre stock controllers, andhospital administrators.
- Resolve customercomplaints promptly by investigating issues and recommending solutions.
- Gather customerrequirements and provide feedback to management to ensure high levels ofsatisfaction.
- Collaborate withinternal teams (Customer Service, Finance, Logistics) to support seamlessservice delivery.
Marketing & Promotional Activities
- Assist the NationalProduct Manager and Sales Manager with product marketing, workshops,journal clubs, and educational events.
- Implement marketingstrategies and tactical plans within the assigned territory.
- Promote the full rangeof products and services offered by Jehu Industries.
- Analyze sales andmarketing performance and provide regular reports to management.
Training & Knowledge Development
- Maintain up-to-dateproduct, clinical, and technical knowledge.
- Conduct training forcustomers and internal team members as required.
- Identify educationalopportunities for customers to maximize ROI and product adoption.
- Attend relevantprofessional workshops, conferences, and congresses to stay informed ofindustry developments.
Administration & Reporting
- Submit timely dailycall reports, weekly planners, and monthly and annual sales analyses.
- Manage expense claimsin accordance with company policies.
- Ensure all activitiescomply with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accuraterecords of stock, quotations, and customer interactions.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum: Grade 12(Matric).
- Minimum of 2 years’sales experience, preferably in the medical or hospital equipmentindustry.
- Knowledge of the KZNhealthcare market and relevant customer base is advantageous.
- Proven track record in sales with verifiablereferences.
- Strong interpersonal,communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build andmaintain customer relationships.
- High level ofmotivation, self-confidence, and results orientation.
- Competence in planning,organizing, and managing territory effectively.
- Strong analytical,decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency inMicrosoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM systems.
- Ability to workindependently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to travelextensively within KZN and occasionally abroad.
