Sales Representative (Packaging) required in East London.
The Sales Representative will be responsible for achieving monthly and annual sales and gross profit targets by effectively selling and marketing the company’s range of packaging products.
The role requires maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers, while actively identifying and developing new business opportunities across the retail, food service, bakery, butchery, and deli sectors.
Salary: R14 000 per month plus commission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales and gross profit targets.
- Sell and market the company’s range of packaging products to existing and new customers.
- Service existing accounts through regular visits, relationship management, and customer support.
- Identify and develop new market opportunities to drive business growth.
- Handle all sales-related calls, queries, and associated administrative duties.
- Manage stock and ensure efficient order processing to meet client requirements.
- Perform ad-hoc deliveries when required to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide exceptional customer service by understanding and addressing client needs.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of bakery, butchery, and deli packaging products.
Role Requirements:
- Matric / N4 or equivalent qualification (essential).
- Tertiary qualification in Sales or Marketing (advantageous).
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a Sales Representative in the packaging or related industry.
- Proficient in SYSPRO (essential).
- Computer literate with strong MS Office 365 and intermediate Excel skills.
- Experience managing both corporate and independent accounts.
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle (essential).
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required.
