Job description

To ensure effective merchandising of clients’ products at store level and to maintain call cycles, i.e., the number of liquor stores, shebeens, and restaurants visited within specified time frames.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables :

Callage and Coverage -

  • Maintain call cycles, ensuring visits to the required number of liquor stores, shebeens, and restaurants within designated timeframes.

Relationship Building -

  • Provide excellent customer service to liquor stores, shebeens, and restaurants.

On Shelf Availability -

  • Achieve prescribed SKU distribution in shebeens and restaurants.
  • Identify category gaps for both clients and competitors.
  • Identify opportunities to increase client products at liquor stores and restaurants.
  • Ensure products are clearly visible to consumers.
  • Ensure rapid availability of new SKU innovations on shelves.

Pricing Compliance -

  • Maintain consistent product pricing through regular audits and compliance checks.
  • Identify and flag pricing anomalies immediately.

Point of Sale Implementation –

  • Ensure client POS materials are installed according to client guidelines.

Order Management

  • Follow up on unfulfilled orders placed by Spaza shops.
  • Assist liquor stores, shebeens, and restaurants with order-related queries.
  • Understand sales targets and develop plans to meet them.
  • Apply an entrepreneurial approach to increase sales and distribution at liquor shops, shebeens, and restaurants.
