Overview

Our Client, operating in the Wholesale Industry (Frozen Food Sector), is seeking to employ an experienced Sales Representative to their team based in Port Elizabeth.

Number of years' experience required (in a similar industry) - 5 years!

Note: Must have valid driver's license. Company vehicle available for business travel.

Requirements
  • Proven experience trading in the frozen food industry.
  • Excellent timekeeping: able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Be customer-focused and service-oriented.
  • Be strongly self-motivated; able to develop business opportunities.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be flexible and available at all times.
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Excellent salesmanship and ability to close a deal.
  • Available to travel when necessary and work nights or weekends if needed.
  • Exceptional mathematics skills to perform calculations and give estimates.
  • Thorough in all account paperwork and recordkeeping.
Responsibilities
  • Develop business opportunities in the market.
  • Buy products on the market at a low price and sell them at a higher price.
  • Identify gaps in the market and capitalise on them.
  • Work closely with the trading team to develop existing markets and also run your own markets and clients.
  • Capable of working independently or with a group of other Food Sales Representatives.
