Job Purpose
We are seeking a driven and technically minded On-the-Road Sales Representative with experience in automotive parts sales, preferably within turbochargers and diesel injection systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing and servicing the existing customer base while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities within the Pretoria and surrounding regions. A solid background in automotive components and proven on-the-road sales experience are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Field Sales & Account Management
- Visit and service existing customers across the assigned region.
- Develop new business and expand market share through proactive lead generation.
- Build strong, long‑term relationships through consistent customer service and technical support.
Technical Product Sales
- Promote and advise on correct applications for turbochargers, diesel injectors, and fuel pumps.
- Assist customers with accurate part identification using OE numbers, engine data, and application details.
- Deliver solution‑based sales aligned with customer requirements.
Sales Administration & Coordination
- Prepare quotations, manage orders, and follow up on leads using CRM/ERP systems (Odoo advantageous).
- Coordinate with internal sales, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and service.
- Provide weekly feedback and territory activity reports to management.
Business Growth & Territory Development
- Drive business expansion by identifying gaps and opportunities within the market.
- Service and grow existing accounts while increasing customer retention and sales performance.
- Participate in marketing campaigns and regional sales initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years’ external sales experience within the automotive parts industry.
- Experience with turbochargers and diesel injection systems highly advantageous.
- Strong technical aptitude with vehicle components.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Proficient in CRM/ERP systems (Odoo an advantage).
- Matric (essential).
- Technical or mechanical background advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license (company vehicle provided).
- No criminal record.
