Job summary

A leading technology solutions provider in Gauteng is seeking a full-time Sales Representative responsible for sales and business development. The role involves identifying new clients, managing existing accounts, and achieving sales targets. Candidates should have a minimum of Grade 12, 5 years of sales experience, and proficiency in MS Office and MS Project. Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans are essential. A relevant degree/diploma is advantageous.

Job description
Summary of Position

The Sales Representative is responsible for Sales and Business Development. This includes client management, administration and any ad hoc duties requested by the Sales Manager or any other person in a senior position.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Identify potential clients and projects as well as follow up on new leads and referrals.
  • Conduct site surveys.
  • Create new business opportunities for the Company by presenting and selling products and services to new and existing clients.
  • Maintain ongoing client communication regarding new product and service opportunities, special developments, information or feedback.
  • Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets set by Management.
  • Manage and develop existing key accounts through quality checks and other follow‑ups.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns and queries.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with clients by delivering and adhering to their requirements as well as offering customer support during and after project completion.
  • Manage the quality and consistency of product and service delivery.
  • Manage progress of projects.
  • Prepare sales presentations, proposals, tenders and contracts.
  • Prepare status reports including sales forecasts, activity information, closings, follow‑ups and adherence to goals.
  • Prepare feedback reports for management meetings.
  • Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
  • Develop and maintain the customer base to meet all sales forecasts and budgets.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years sales or key account management experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ sales experience in the IT or network infrastructure industries.
  • A relevant degree/diploma will be an advantage.
  • Must have industry‑related knowledge.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
  • Experience with budgeting and basic finances.
  • Excellent negotiating skills.
  • Extensive experience with customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
  • Must comply with the Company’s policies and procedures.
Experience and Location Requirements

Data cabling: 2 years (preferred). Telecommunications sales: 2 years (required). Location: Midrand, Gauteng (preferred). Work location: in person.
