Job description

Our client, a well established national concern are looking for a Technical Sales Representative with a passion for engineering solutions and strong relationship-building skills to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a technical mindset and a drive to achieve sales success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients across industries such as water treatment, HVAC, mining, oil & gas, and manufacturing.
  • Identify opportunities, prepare quotations, and follow through to closing sales.
  • Provide technical support and recommendations on pump selection, sizing, and related components.
  • Conduct site visits and assist with product presentations and demonstrations.
  • Meet sales targets and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • 1–3 years’ sales experience in industrial equipment or related sectors; pump sales experience is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of pump technologies, hydraulics, and fluid mechanics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and schematics.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written).
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally/regionally (±70% of the time).
  • Own reliable transport to work daily.
