Job summary

A global trading and distribution company located in Durban is seeking a Sales Professional – Polymers. The successful candidate will generate sales, manage customer relationships, and develop new markets in East Africa. A Bachelor's degree in Polymer Engineering or similar is preferred along with a strong capability in negotiation and closing deals. Extensive travel within the designated territory is expected.

Tricon is seeking a Sales Professional – Polymers in East Africa.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Generate sales, achieve targets and payment collections within timeline.
  • Manage, retain and grow sales, increase market share with existing customers.
  • Develop and manage customer relationship to drive revenue growth.
  • Identify new markets and business opportunities.
  • Negotiate the terms of contract and close sales deals.
  • Gather market intelligence, competitors’ activities and provide feedback on buying/price
  • Forecasting, preparing budget and achieving targets as per budget.
  • Responsible for managing regular order flow as per budget.
  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information and guidance,
  • Extensive visit to existing and potential customers on regular basis to generate new
  • Identifies product improvements by remaining current on industry trends, market
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending workshops, establishing personal networks.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
