Sales & Marketing Agent job vacancy in Paarl.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relationships with international customers, importers, and retailers.
  • Manage the full sales process: pricing, contract negotiation, order placement, documentation, and delivery coordination.
  • Monitor market trends and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the procurement, logistics, and quality assurance teams to ensure consistent product quality and on‑time delivery.
  • Ensure all export documentation complies with international trade and phytosanitary regulations.
  • Attend local and international trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company’s strategic growth in new and existing markets.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market feedback to management.
  • Stay updated on seasonal production volumes, packout figures, and market demand cycles.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience in the fresh produce export industry, preferably with pome fruit and citrus.
  • Existing relationships with key export markets such as the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the UK are highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of South African fruit production cycles, packhouses, and export logistics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel both locally and internationally as needed.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems; experience with export documentation systems is a plus.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Afrikaans, Spanish, Mandarin, or French) are beneficial.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Education: Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Marketing, or International Trade preferred, but not essential with relevant experience.
