Position Overview

Set and maintain strategic direction for the motorcycle and marine unit whilst taking responsibility and accountability for its performance, operational efficiency, growth and reporting.

Job Description
  • Strategic Planning :
  • Scan market to determine trends and opportunities.
  • Recommend positioning of products in the market, new or improved products and courses of action.
  • Review business model in terms of route to market and product range extensions.
  • Business Planning & Expense Budget :
  • Review stock on hand, produce forecasts and place orders.
  • Review Cost of Sales.
  • Determine margins within company parameters.
  • Manage agreed budget and variances.
  • Sales and Marketing :
  • Manage retail network interaction and build positive customer relationships.
  • Resolve end user / customer issues.
  • Promote product lines appropriately.
  • Supplier Relationship Management :
  • Ensure accurate and on-time forecasting and orders.
  • Keep suppliers informed of market characteristics and trends.
  • Maintain positive supplier relationships.
  • Team Management :
  • Build and maintain a healthy team environment.
  • Lead and guide the team in a positive direction.
  • Weekly meetings for KPI's and adjust strategy accordingly.
Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Computer literate
Minimum Experience
  • 5 years' cross-functional experience.
  • 3 years in Sales and Customer interaction.
  • Management background.
Competencies
  • Methodical and accurate, paying attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates ability to grasp and work with processes and systems, well developed numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Good documentation and organizational skills.
  • Competence in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
